- Explain various types of lighting design schemes.
- If two street lamps having a uniform candle power of 500 are hanged at a height of 6m by maintaining a spacing of 16m between them then calculate the illumination under each lamp post and in between those two lamp posts.
- Write general rules of wiring in industrial buildings.
- With neat block diagram explain each component of UPS.
- Explain Murray loop test to locate cable fault.
Group ‘C’
(Long answer question) 1x10=10
- A car show room of an industrial building has to be illuminated at an illumination level of 150 LUX, where dimension of the room is given as 45mx25m. Accomplish the design with the help of F552D/830/4P/CD luminaire which is a 55 watt CFL lamp with an ability to give 4000 lumens with maintenance factor of 0.9. Show layout, number of wires, SDB, switches, lighting and power sockets for 3 phase 4 wire system supply. Walls of show room are painted with white color with utilization factor around 0.8. Also evaluate the TPMCB rating required to be installed on SDB for safe operation of your design.
